William David McDowell, who started his music career in 2009 with the release of ‘As We Worship, is an American gospel musician.
McDowell was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in USA on August 31, 1976. His parents– Lewis and Pauline — were both born in North Carolina.
His music career started after Entertainment One (eOne), a record label, publishing and artist management company, first released ‘As We Worship’ on February 3, 2009.
His breakthrough album, Gospel Albums, peaked at No. 3, Independent Albums at No. 21, and Heatseekers Albums at No. 32 on Billboard.
Arise, the second album was released by Entertainment One on November 8, 2011, while his third album –Withholding Nothing– was released by the same company on November 5, 2013.
New Release rated the album four out of five stars while Steve Leggett rated the album three stars.
The album at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards has been nominated for Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album.
William McDowell is nominated for the Traditional Male Vocalist of the Year at the 30th Stellar Awards while his album– Withholding Nothing– is nominated for the Traditional CD of the Year.
Entertainment One Music released its fourth album– Sounds of Revival– on January 22, 2016.
The musician obtained his degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University in Orlando.
When he was his music director, Ron Kenol mentored him.
McDowell, also the pastor at Deeper Fellowship church located in Orlando, Florida, married LaTae in May 2009. The couple along with their children reside outside of Orlando Florida.
