American progressive political commentator and television host Joy Reid’s husband Jason Reid is a documentary film editor.

Joy married Jason Reid In 1997 and the couple have three children–one daughter, Winsome Reid, and two sons– Jmar Reid, and Miles Reid.

The television host, who was a national correspondent for MSNBC, is best known for hosting The ReidOut from 2020 to 2025. Moreover, it is a political commentary program.

She also earlier worked for The Reid Report, an hour-long weekday US and world political commentary program on MSNBC, in 2014–2015 and AM Joy in 2016–2020.

Joy Reid wrote the book “Fracture: Barack Obama, the Clintons and the Racial Divide” in September 2015.

The Reid Report, a daily program, offered Reid’s distinctive analysis and insight into the day’s news.

Reid was the managing editor of theGrio.com. The daily online news and opinion platform is devoted to delivering stories and perspectives, affecting African-American audiences.

She joined theGrio.com in July 2011 with experience as a freelance columnist for the Miami Herald and as editor of the political blog The Reid Report.

The former talk radio producer and host for Radio One previously served as an online news editor for the NBC affiliate WTVJ.

Recently, the discussion has been going on about Joy Reid as MSNBC reportedly cancelled her show in a reshuffle at a liberal network.
