Samantha Irvin, popular ring announcer at the WWE, recently announced that she was leaving “Monday Night Raw.”
The American professional wrestling ring took to social media to express her gratitude. She thanked Hall of Famers Brian “Road Dogg” James, Mark Henry and WWE chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque for their support.
In a post on X, the famous ring said, “WWE Universe, my time has come to an end as your ‘Monday Night Raw’ Ring Announcer.”
Stating that she loved the fans and it was not the end of her art, Irvin said she has a lifetime ahead of her to share.
She thanked every WWE fan for accepting her.
With her voice that filled the arena and her passion for the wrestling entertainment world, Irvin’s name became a centrepiece and focal point of WWE broadcasts over the last couple of years since she joined in 2021.
However, one of her most memorable moments was perhaps at the end of the WrestleMania 40, with Cody Rhodes winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship over Roman Reigns.
She has married Ricochet, a former WWE superstar and a current AEW wrestler.
The ring left the promotion earlier this year to work at Tony Khan’s company. She showed support for Irvin in a post.
Meanwhile, according to Sean Ross-Sapp of Fightful Select, Lilian Garcia, former WWE ring announcer, was returning to the WWE to replace Irvin as the ring announcer for “Monday Night Raw.”
WWE Monday Night Raw, the company’s long-running flagship weekly series, currently airs on USA Network, which is scheduled to move to a brand new era and come alive on Netflix in January 2025.
