How long have Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck been together?

Hollywood stars Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have decided to divorce after two years of marriage as Lopez filed for divorce in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday.

The divorce came reports after the two had been living separately. Besides, the actress cancelled her summer tour to spend time with her family.

According to court documents seen by the BBC, the pair formally tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022, and the following month they organised a larger wedding ceremony in Georgia.

After they met while working on the set of the 2003 crime caper Gigli, their romance began.

The couple had formerly planned to marry that year but withdrew their relationship early in 2004.

Later, they rekindled their relationship after almost two decades.

In 2022 after announcing the Las Vegas wedding, Lopez said love is beautiful and kind.

According to media reports, Lopez did not list any details of a prenuptial agreement in her divorce petition. However, she had legally changed her last name to Affleck.

According to a court document, both Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, must share their current income, expenses, properties and debts.

As per the court order, Lopez will get 60 days to file a financial disclosure while Affleck will get 60 days after she submits her information to do likewise.

Previously Ben Affleck was married to the actress Jennifer Garner. After a decade of marriage, the couple split in 2015, although they have three children together.

However, Lopez got married four times. Her first knot was with Cuban-born waiter Ojani Noa from 1997-98. Later, she got married to her former dancer Cris Judd, which continued from 2001-03. Then, she tied the knot with singer Marc Anthony from 2004-14. She had twins.
