He later had his sentence reduced to 20 years, which had put his release date to 2028.

Big Meech was arrested in 2005 and convicted in 2008 and sentenced to 30 years in prison after being convicted on charges of drug trafficking and money laundering.
In 2024, a judge cut his sentence by nearly three years. Demetrius and Terry Flenory 1985 founded the Black Mafia Family (BMF) in Southwest Detroit.
The DEA, in October 2005, carried out a huge drug raid, code-named Operation Motor City Mafia, arresting 30 members of the BMF.
The task force began with seizing large quantities of drugs and relying on information from BMF members, particularly low-level dealers and high-level distributors.
Meech’s net worth was estimated to be between $100 million to $120 million at the height of his power.
While Terry and his brother, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, were languishing in jail, 50 Cent transformed their BMF saga into a household name with a hit eponymous series on Starz.
