A fire that erupted at the EPCOT theme park located within Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando on Saturday, was caused by a walk-in cooler that caught fire, a representative from Disney confirmed today.

Currently, it is unknown why the cooler started burning.

However, the authorities extinguished the blaze that were captured by park guests and others quickly. No injuries were found in the blaze.

Photos and videos of the fire in the Orlando area circulated on social media widely.

The fire originated in a walk-in cooler behind backstage area of the France Pavilion, which is part of the World Showcase at the resort’s Epcot theme park.

The blaze broke out just after 7:00 pm (local time), forcing evacuations.

The authorities asked visitors to evacuate from the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure ride.

Fire causes were not immediately known but the official said the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District fire department put out it quickly.

In the early evening, the pavilion reopened to theme park guests.

However, Disney World did not address the incident officially yet.

The Ratatouille Adventure of Rem at Walt Disney World Resort, which opened on October 1, 2021, is a trackless 4D dark ride in the France Pavilion.
