Mark Robinson, the controversial and socially conservative Republican nominee for governor of North Carolina, reportedly wrote a number of provocative comments on a pornography website’s message board more than a decade earlier.
Robinson allegedly referred to himself as a “black NAZI” in the message board and showed support for reinstating slavery, a CNN KFile investigation found.
Despite making anti-transgender rhetoric in recent history, Robinson said he indulged in transgender pornography, a review of archived messages found where he allegedly referred to himself as a “perv.”
The comments, which Robinson denied writing, precede his entrance into politics and the present stint as North Carolina’s lieutenant governor.
Robinson denied the allegations in a video posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, shortly before CNN published the article.
The statements were reportedly made under a username that CNN was able to identify as Robinson by matching a catalogue of biographical details and a shared email address between the duo.
Many of Robinson’s comments were voluntarily sexual and vulgar in nature. They were made between 2008 and 2012 on a pornographic website, “Nude Africa,” which includes a message board. The comments were allegedly made under the username minisoldr, a nickname Robinson frequently used online.
His profile for Nude Africa used his real name as well as an email address as he used on numerous websites across the internet.
CNN reported only a portion of Robinson’s comments on the website given their graphic nature.
