Tracey Collins is New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ longtime girlfriend.

Even though Adams works in the limelight, he keeps his personal life, including his relationship with Collins, under the radar.

In September 2024, Adams became the first sitting NYC mayor to face criminal charges. He was charged with five criminal counts, including bribery, wire fraud, conspiracy and soliciting campaign contributions from foreigners.

Adams said he always knew that If he stood his ground for New Yorkers, he would be a target — and a target he became.

Adams told People Magazine in a statement that he knew he would become a target if he stood ground for New Yorkers.

He claimed himself as innocent. He’ll fight this with every ounce of my strength and spirit,” Adams said.

She lives in New Jersey. Collins was born and raised in New Orleans, before living in New Jersey and working in the Big Apple.

Collins works in NYC Department of Education. She started off as a school administrator in the NYC Department of Education in 2008 before being named senior advisor to the deputy chancellor for school leadership.

Adams in his book, “Healthy at Last”, stated that he and Collins had embarked on their respective vegan journey after she was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. Adams had earlier been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

As mentioned earlier, Collins is a published author who penned the inspirational book “Sweet Promptings”.

Alongside her education and writing work, Collins founded a nonprofit organisation, “Fully Persuaded for Children & Families in 2007”.

The organization focussed on social-emotional education to improve decision-making, reduce violence and contribute to safer communities.
