The Baltimore Ravens, a professional American football team based in Baltimore, has suspended US professional football wide receiver Diontae Johnson for their next game.

The suspension came as Diontae Johnson refused to enter their recent matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Although receiver Rashod Bateman was dealing with knee soreness, Johnson did not play in Sunday’s loss to the Eagles.

General manager Eric DeCosta in a statement said they have made the tough decision to suspend Diontae Johnson for the coming game against the New York Giants for conduct detrimental to the team.

A suspension has been imposed on Diontae Johnson as he refused to enter the game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

After this week’s bye, the Ravens will face the Giants on December 15.

Seeking comment, a message was left with Johnson’s agent.

Baltimore Ravens acquired Johnson from the Carolina Panthers in an October trade in the final season of his contract.

The 28-year-old Diontae Johnson has caught just one pass in four games for the Baltimore Ravens.

Born on July 5, 1996, Johnson played college football for the Toledo Rockets. Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019 selected him in the third round of the NFL draft.

Besides, the US professional football wide receiver has played for the Carolina Panthers.

During his time at Toledo, Johnson had 135 catches for 2,235 yards and 23 touchdowns.
